Recruitment Low-Down: NCAA D1, D2 & D3

All NCAA schools, at all division levels, are limited when it comes to recruiting potential student athletes for their program. These schools are only permitted to recruit players at certain times of the year. This is why the NCAA recruiting calendars were developed. The main point of the introduction of the recruitment calendar was to ensure fairness and well-being among student athletes and college coaches alike. Below we will take a deeper look into the recruiting methods for NCAA divisions 1, 2 and 3 so that you can be aware of the methods each division uses and what you can expect throughout the recruitment process at each different division.

The message here is to be fully informed with the correct information, formulate a plan for your recruitment and take the initiative when it comes to your basketball career and educational needs.
